Our topic was Pop Culture, we chose this because it is something we face in our everyday lives
that defines us as who we are. I wanted to cover as many different aspects of it through these photos.
Music, Dance, politics, food, video games. These are the things that make up who we are. They connect
us all. Taking these photos taught me what pop culture truly meant and how many different forms it
comes in.

This photo was taken during the Special Dance performance at Columbia High School (CHS). The
students in the Special Dance Company work hard choreographing and producing a yearly
performance. This is a big part of the CHS pop culture. Every year their show brings out a lot of students
and parents from the community.

SZA returned to Columbia High School (CHS) to be inducted into the hall of fame. She is a successful singer that has collabed with big name artists like Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar. CHS students were excited to have her perform.

This photo was taken at Governors Ball, This festival is known for its trendy music and food.
Many students from Columbia attend this concert at the end of every spring. Music festivals are a
big part of the culture for teens at Columbia and all across the country. It gives them a chance to let
loose and listen to their favorite artists.

Fortnite is a video game that has become very popular. The game has a Hunger Games/Call Of Duty
theme. It allows players to connect from all across the country in a battle to the last one standing. This
game has become a huge success very fast.
